In St. Mary’s hospital medical school in London, a technique called desensitization was developed to subside the seasonal allergies symptoms like hay fever. The allergies sufferers were given bee pollen dosage at least six weeks before the season begins. The technique was meant to introduce allergen to produce antibodies that eventually eliminate the allergic reaction.
In the University of Vienna, Dr. Peter Hernuss and team conducted a study of women suffering from Uterine cancer. Some of the women who were given bee pollen with their food shown better results in building up the immune system to fight multiplying cancer cells. The treatment was proved as effective as chemotherapy without showing any side-effects.
